Home / Endoscopic examination

Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is a fast and safe method to examine the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. With the help of esophagogastroduodenoscopy, it is possible to assess the macroscopic state of these organs, as well as take samples of biological fluids and tissues, and carry out therapeutic manipulations. The procedure is also performed as a prevention of pre-cancerous conditions in the upper gastrointestinal tract. Colonoscopy is a widely used method of examining the colon, the terminal portion of the small intestine. If necessary, a biological sample is taken for further microscopic examination. Colonoscopy removes colon polyps, pre-cancers, thereby preventing colon cancer.
