Surgical block

The surgical unit of “Astghik” MC has 9 operating rooms:

• 1 specialized trauma and orthopedic operating room with electronic and opticaltransformers

• 2 operating rooms of X-ray and surgical intervention (cardiac catheterization hall)

• 2 cardiac operating rooms

• 1 obstetric obstetrics and gynecology operating room

• 1 operating room for lithotripsy (stone destruction)

• operating rooms for emergency cases (next to the emergency department)

All operating rooms are equipped with:

• new,centralized powerful system of air circulation and decontamination,

• UPS electric power system,

• centralized system of oxygen, carbon dioxide, compressed air and vacuum,

• regulation and control systems of the patient’s body temperature

• anesthesia and monitoring devices

• electrosurgical devices (monopolyar, bipolar, harmonic)

• modern endoscopic surgical devices and HD microscope (Karl Storz, Leica)
